    Steamworks - Steam Workshop How?

    Hi, how do I send/receive files in my app to/from Steam workshop? The Steam plugin has no help file whatsoever.

    I actually just found a ton of Steamworks examples which get extracted to the examples directory. They are very thoroughly and clearly commented! Thank You.

    (There should probably be some info that this actually exists in the plugin description..but there isn't..so hey)

    I think they just assume people know there are examples with almost every extension/special object. You're not the first to miss them though. I will say they have never clearly explained how to allow users to upload an updated file and overwrite the same file on the workshop. This is a possibility with the workshop, but many of us have not been able to figure it out.

    I'm running into some issues with this myself. Apparently my game simultaneously thinks an active upload session both IS and IS NOT running at the same time. I've copied the example code nearly line for line, the only difference being I'm uploading via a fast loop instead of a button click. But I can't get any data to upload at all (and believe me, I've loaded the percentage number into every possible counter, alterable value, and even string I could think of. Nada).

    I really wish this extension had some debugger functions...
