Exclamation Android+ object GetDefaultLocale not returning the expected format

    Hello @Fernando ,

I'm using android+ to get the langage of the device.
The expected response, as described in the documentation is xx_XX for example fr_FR or en_US, which is a standard.

But the response i get on my testing device (Mate9) is fr .

This is really a big problem for me because my app uses translations and i need this value to call my webservices and get a response in the correct langage.

Can you confirme this is a bug ? and when it could be fixed ?

    Thanks
    Haoujey

I also get only FR on my phone, no region is shown, but it's the way i want it to work, so @Fernando , normally it should show language + "_" + region? So i should add a Left$(XX, 2) to my code to be sure to only get the language. On iOS we get the language + region.

this depends on how many languages are installed in your device, in case of French, if you only have fr_ means that you have international french and not regionalized as fr_CA French-canadian, but shoud work ok, since you mainly need in the language and not the region, not all android devices are made the same.

this also happens with sound libraries, keyboard, etc.
