    Game & Watch clock speed up?

    I'm trying to figure out how to make the game speed up like the old Game & Watch games.

    I know how to base the speed of objects to a counter. But I don't know how to set it up when it comes to "every second move Object_1 + 32 x y position"

    The old Game & Watch games based the game speed on it's clock, and sped it up when a condition was met. How would I go about doing something like that?

    I kind of figured out how to do it: I have a counter that is set to 90 at the start of the frame, and it's set to always subtract 1. When the speed up trigger occurs I subtract the maximum value by 1, and voilá, the longer the game is played, the faster it gets.

    I got one thing I can't figure out, though: The counter goes down into the negative numbers, and I want to hinder the counter from doing that, my idea would be to have an event check if the maximum value is lower then a value and if it is, set it to 1 higher to keep it there, I don't know how to do something like that, though. A little wisdom on this would be great =)

    You can add a second condition so that the subtraction only happens when the counter's maximum value is above 1

    This is done through "special conditions" (two gears) object like this
