Does Keyboard keypress detection work on HTML 5 exports?

I built my game, installed it on a web host, ran it via the URL to the index.html file and it runs fine, EXCEPT no key presses are detected. Any idea why?

Seems to work fine here, I don't remember anyone reporting this issue. Do you have a simple example to show?

Maybe first you need to click the game area to focus the canvas ?
I know that some browsers (like mobile ones) will not let play audio unless you touch the web page.

I tried that and it was still completely non-responsive to key presses. I'll look deeper into the issue when I get the chance. Thanks

This is resolved now. There was code that in a sense didn't survive the transition from non HTML5 to HTML5 supported code which was accidentally blocking the keyboard detection events from working. It simply was never activating the group with keyboard controls because it was waiting for something that would not be possible until I fixed the events.
