Collision and Overlap events both fail in different ways - how to solve?

    Attached is an example .mfa

Frame 1 uses an overlap event - this fails to scope correctly, so I can't use it.

Frame 2 uses a collision event - this scopes correctly but then every now and again a block gets stuck when it's halfway through and a block is made visible / invisible at that moment, and I don't know how to solve that - without using an overlap event - which I can't use - see Frame 1.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to work around this or solve this?

    Thanks

I think something else may be at play with the overlap issue. But the easiest solution is just use a ForEach loop on overlap. Something as simple as this seems to work fine (but correct me if im wrong): ForEachOverlap.jpg

The For Each works like magic -thank you!

(I was trying lots of other stuff and never once did it occur to me to use a loop...)

No problem! I use Fastloops and ForEach loops for pretty much everything in my games these days. As long as you're careful about how often and when your loops are running, it can save a lot of headaches without slowing down your game.
