Expanding and Contracting Issue Selecting Objects in Grid

    Hey all,
I'm probably missing something basic here, but I'm struggling to get a simple selection system working here. I've tried with loops syncing the objectID with the detectors, but then I could not get the link counter to go one by one. So I did put up a half-working example . If you run the MFA you'll be able to click and drag to create the selection 1-6, however you won't be able to retract the selection (and link count together).
To make matters worse, when I grouped the Square and used the group instead it completely broke up. Any idea how to solve this?

    Many thanks

Is it something like this you want ?

    Grid_Selectionscope_B.mfa

(you can only switch off the latest Highlighted Square. I don't know if that's what you expected)

Thanks Brovic, not exactly. Here is an animated GIF, hopefully it will play, of the desired effect, using a group (the second example I posted)

That one should be closer but for some reason I couldn't either do it using qualifiers.

Very nice... Thanks! interesting solution you've found there for retreating the selection. I wonder if this is a glitch the way qualifiers work.
