"Set sample position" is not working with mp3

Hello,
set sample position is not working with mp3, it either plays from the beginning or plays only static noise.
With ogg and wav its working correctly.

The files are 44khz 16bit.

Is it a bug or do i miss something in mp3 to set up correctly?

I have the same problem, you solve? I check on the bug tracker but is offline, so I really don't know

IIRC it's because the Fusion MP3 filter uses a Windows API that doesn't allow this.

Can you use OGG instead?

Yes, i solve using ogg but you think is possible to fix this problem with mp3?

We could fix it if we change the API we're using. IIRC we used the Windows API when we made this filter because of MP3 licensing issues. Using another one now could fix it, though we've a lot on our plate right now so I can't promise anything...
