Question Is Fusion 2.5 Plus worth it?

I'm really considering purchasing 2.5 Plus but is it really worth more than half the price of the Standard Edition?

Only you can decide that... almost everyone I've spoken to has been glad of their purchase. Here's a feature list for you to read:

Here's my take on it: If you're working on a commercial release then I think it's a great investment just for DX11, RAM optimization and child events alone. On the other hand, if you're just a hobbyist then it may not be as necessary.

Be carreful about DX11 feature, I bought 2.5 plus but i'm still using DX9 cause there are some isues with the 11 like not having embedded font, or can't use pixel font (there is aliasing on it.)

IMO it's absolutely 100% worth it, if you use Fusion in any serious or even half-serious way.

I personally don't use DX11. I tried it when released, found the performance to be patchy, and have ignored it ever since. But the 101 other quality-of-life improvements (custom qualifiers, proper global events, 26+ altVals, proper "find" function, etc. etc.) are fantastic, and have revolutionised the way I work in multiple ways. They've reduced the amount of friction, confusion and time-wasting in my project, which has not only made me happier and less stressed, but also has allowed me to make my game better.

The DLC format can be misleading. The majority of 's benefits aren't 'optional extras' that cater to a niche of specialist users. They are fundamental improvements that make Fusion easier to use and should have been in the original release of CF2.5 (and no doubt would have been, had Clickteam had the resources to implement them back in 2013).

Since so many of 's features increase Fusion's ease-of-use, I would say that they are likely to be as useful for beginners/hobbyists as for long-time users, if not more so.

    Definately worth the money.

Although I haven't used much of its new features, it is nice to at least have them on hand while you're trying to work.

There are so many ways it makes things easier. The extended number of strings and variables, and the fact that they apply to many more objects, really makes things easier. The profiler is an absolute lifesaver when you're trying to find out what's suddenly slowed down your app, and as Volnaiskra says, the software is just fundamentally more usable.

I didn’t think I’d use child events, but that is something that really streamlined what I do. Same with additional alteraboe values.
