    PDF Viewer Extension [Android]

    Hi all,

    here is a new simple extension for Android only which can display a PDF document in your scene.

    If some of you can confirm that it is not buggy, I will share it on the Clickstore.

    Thanks Fernando,

    I must admit that I am new to these permissions and minimal API needed in Android extension development. What is the best coding practices to use about that when developing an Android extension for CF2.5?

    Oh i saw your code now, may i suggest that you go with Active picture concept, runtime destroy texture and image in bank to go with android regulation.

    then you need to reconstruct when back from pause.

    also using a static bitmap will help that if user stay long time on pause the OS will not remove this from memory or you can go with the flow to renew the bitmap and then teh texture again.

    =============

    Oh android is always in change so you need to review the min API that the function requires (normally on right top of the page or if is an addendum they have different api).

    as example mediaplayer is available from API 1

    but some function were added in different APIes.

    Thank you very much Fernando. I will look at it.

    Regarding minimal API, is there a pssibility at edit time to tell the user that the extension requires a newer API?
    I did not look deep in Windows extenion SDK but I cannot remember anything in this direction.
    Otherwise, I suppose the user wil be informed at compile time that it is not compatible with this API version.

    no it won't be informed since this is inside all framework from api 21 , but the one to check is MMFRuntime.deviceApi > 21, in android

    Check if you have PROPID_APP_ANDROIDVERSION_MIN in the SDK Props.h

    CPropIntValue* pvba = (CPropIntValue*)mvGetAppPropValue(pMV, edPtr, PROPID_APP_ANDROIDVERSION_MIN);

    int version = pvba->m_nValue;

    from there if version < 21 won't work

    a small alert to developers mentioning that min shoudl be 21

    not sure but it should work, let me know
