    Simple, interactable Inventory system?

Hi, I'm looking to make a simple inventory. I am making a game that is similar to the Car Escape Series
    (Example: https://youtu.be/20P-U_wrIkU)
I am trying to make a simple inventory. The player opens an armrest, picks up a key, the key is placed in the inventory, and when they go to the door, a use button pops up and they can open the door.
How would I go about doing this?
I have only just started using this software, yesterday or the day before yesterday. I currently am using a sub application. Is there a way to make it interactable? What should I use for the text?

Also, not related to this question, but are there any plans in the future to update the UI? It seems very outdated and kind of hard to use.

Also, if I add in an image, and try to change it's size, it only scales this visible area, not the whole image. It's essentially cropping the visible part of the image, and I can't seem to zoom out any more. It's incredibly frustrating. Is there any way to fix this?

http://www.castles-of-britain.com/mmfexamples-i.htm you can find some inventory examples here.

Please make sure you've taken the ChocoBreak tutorial first to help familiarise yourself with the interface.

I'm sorry but I can't work out what you're beating about image scaling, you need to provide more detail and context about what you're doing and where, and a screenshot of the issue.

    Thanks.

Actually, I think I figured out the image scaling bit.
