I've been making a game in clickteam fusion 2.5, the transitions were working perfectly and all but four days ago they magically stopped working. The previews just keep frozen and in-game the scenes change abruptly.

Do the transitions work in a NEW clean project?
I'd try and isolate the problem.
I guess (obviously)...it's either your project file...CTF or your vid card?
If the transitions work in a new project then that rules out CTF and vid card.
If that's the case then delete frames one by one in the broken project
and see if that helps or isolates the culprit.
It's weird there isn't even a animation preview in the transition/effect selector...
...that might point to a vid card problem - someone more knowledgeable may be able to help there.

No. Blank projects also don't work. I also tried isolating the things. None work.
Transitions only work in the legacy "Standard" graphics mode, they are not supported in DirectX modes. You shouldn't use the Standard mode, it really is only for very old use cases and so you'll need to find another way to handle transitions.
You can use effects/shaders for making custom transitions
You can also set the blend or rgb coefficient of the frame through events/expressions to make fade in/out to white or black
I really don't recommend using Standard mode, it completelly disables the hardware acceleration (Use of GPU)...
I don't use the standard mode, I don't know where you guys got that from. I confirmed this error is only happening to my computer, because on my mum's pc the transitions work perfectly. I have no idea on what should I do on my own pc for making them work.
That transitions you say also don't work to me.
I apologise, I gave bad information - D3D modes do support transitions, I ever knew that!
