    Okay - I've changed it to only have 1 score - I have no idea why you're saving it twice.

    In Frame 1 whatever you do to the score will reflect on Frame 2.

    If the score is >5 - the text will be made invisible - but only the text, not the score as well.
    If the score is <=5 - the text will reappear.

    @Janette5 i see, but the score is now saved in frame 1 and 2. the score has to be starting at 0 because in the actual game when the player starts up the level the score will be at 0. what i mean is i want it to stay invisible permanently until the player resets their score in frame 3. im using global values from frame 1 saying if the global value is greater or equal than 5 then the example text turns invisible until the player resets their score and it shows up again. i feel like im confusing you lol sorry about that

    I don't understand what you're asking.

    You can delete the ini files and just use global values for the score - or the built-in score. They will be remembered across frames. In frame 3 you just set it to zero.

    You an insert next to where the text is made visible / invisible an option to also make the score invisible in the same way the text is made invisible.

    If you want the score to be zero the first time the player plays but not the next time, you can do something like set a global value:


    First Start = 0
    Set Score = 0,
    First Start = 1


    Thereafter is First Start = 1, the score won't be reset - unless it is reset on frame 3.

    @Janette5 what im trying to say is that the counter in frame 1 and 2 both get saved. the counter in frame 1 can get saved but the one in frame 2 has to get set back to 0, like i had in the original file. in frame 3 you get reset the counter in frame 1. i just need to find a way to make the example text disappear in frame 2 once the score in frame 1 is equal or greater than a certain number. is there a way to do that using my method? or should i use yours? the only reason i ask is because my game is already using my method and id have to go through the whole thing changing a lot of stuff.

    okay, well then go back to your original file - you're good with that.

    in frame 3 you get reset the counter in frame 1.

    You're not going to be on 2 frames at the same time and if you're always resetting the score at the start of frame 2 - then this becomes impossible. Of do you have multiple scores? You mean you want a level score and an overall score?

    is there a way to do that using my method?

    @Janette5 ok so i realized what i was doing wrong. in the file you sent, how do i make the counter in frame 2 start with a 0?

    Instead of this:

    * Start of Frame
    Ini : Set current file to "DaPoints"
    Special : Set Points Score to GroupItemValue( "Ini", "YoPoints", "YoPoints" )

    You would do this:

    * Start of Frame
    Ini : Set current file to "DaPoints"
    Special : Set Points Score to 0

    Because the counter is picking up the global value Points Score
