    Death animation is messed up

    The way the death animation is set up is if you aren't overlapping the purple mutatgen droplet when your health reaches zero, the character flips as it flies into the air. The issue is that if I'm overlapping an enemy and I die, the animation freezes until the character hits the ground. It was NOT doing this before and I'm having some trouble tracking it. Help? Both it and the bouncing animation are set to the same flag under different conditions.

    Line 199: Flag 0 is on - and bouncing is not playing - play bouncing animation
    Line 200: Flag 0 is on - and bouncing is not playing - play disappearing animation

    Line 199 will execute first and it will play the bouncing animation.
    Line 200 will wait until the bouncing animation has completed before playing the disappearing animation.

    You need to use a different flag for different events so that you don't have conflicts and / or you can use alterable values.

    Tried that. Now it's just getting stuck on the first frame. Probably just going to change this to be used with groups of events instead of flags.

    If it's getting stuck on the first frame it probably means the event is running continuously - restarting all the time.

    The flag must be reset, for example,
    flag 0 = 1
    + collision

    then

    set flag 0 = 0
    + change animation
