Some time ago, we had a line extension were you could click start and end of line and a line would be drawn. I used this to create trig. games. Do we know if we are ever going to get this ability back?

I think most users use a scaled active or surface object for drawing lines
or you can try Advanced Line object http://dark-wire.com/storage/extlist.php

I'd like to see some kind of cross-platform version of the surface object, as currently it's just Windows only & the Surface Object is the only real way to plot pixels & draw shapes to the screen. From what I understand from reading the forums, it isn't technically possible to port this extension to certain runtimes.

It’s been ported to HTML5 by xenon3000 but some of the blitting functions don’t work correctly pretty sure he was going to do an android version but maybe he changed his mind

Oh wow, I didn't know the Surface Object had been ported to HTML5. That changes things slightly, but I shudder to think what the performance would be like with particular browsers if you really try to do heavy drawing operations on it, like rotating many polygons or trying to generate an image pixel-by-pixel using nested loops. Even on Windows runtime it isn't the best at doing things like that. Nonetheless hopefully the guy can be persuaded to reconsider porting it to Android. I'd accept any way to draw to a surface on android even if performance isn't great.
A long time ago there were a pair of objects called the Active Overlay & Overlay Redux, which function much in the same way as the Surface Object. They don't have as many features as the Surface Object, but are much more performant at doing the kind of things I listed above. I doubt the developer is even still active so I won't even suggest the idea of porting these extensions![]()

I have found a thread created in 2013 asking for the ability to draw lines from two points. Also several other users have also asked to have an extension that allows "easy" line creation. Why has this not been added to the todo list by Clickteam? This is silly to have a graphical program where you can't draw a simple line. What about went you want to draw a line with a pattern? What about when you want arrows on the end of a line? Do we really have to create several lines of code and paste custom graphic to do it? Yes I can dig a swimming pool with a shovel but I prefer a bull dozer. What about new users? We had this ability at one time. A simple extension that was VERY useful. Please consider providing this function again.

Well I finally got a line after spending hours with misc solutions. Its not the best solution given that it should be click, click, done. This issue is like when linux hardcore users who saw no need for a GUI. Everything to them should be done from the command prompt. GUI users wanted to focus on the project they were working on and not on learning long complex command prompts. The truth is both were right. Both approaches were needed at different times to meet different needs.

So today I decided to pop in and see what Clickteam was up to after a long time and I see a mention to an old extension I wrote (Overlay Redux). I used to be vortex2 but I no longer have that email address since it is so long so I highly doubt I could successfully recover that account!)
I just bought a copy of Fusion 2.5 and I am interested to see how the product has evolved since I last used it way back when.
