    Anybody using Android 11?

Has anybody tested their Fusion games on Android 11 yet?

I have to update some apps because Google is making API 29 compulsory from 2 November 2020 - I was hoping to update to API 30 at the same time, but my test devices are many Android versions behind.

(I was told Clickteam hadn't tested in Android 11 yet when build 292.26 was released.)

As they require at least Android 10, and we all have tested our apps on it, i recommand to stick to Android 10. Safe method. We'll move to Android 11 when we'll be forced to.

It takes about 75 - 100 hours to update and retest all my apps - spot checks - on the latest Fusion build. If I had to fully test them it would take 200+ hours.

If I can wait to update onto Android 11 - then it saves me a lot of time.

Yesterday I went through the stats of each of my games and 7 of my games still have active users using Android 4.2 which the latest Fusion build excludes.

This means I will not be updating any of my games right now as I'm excluding active users from reinstalling the games if they uninstall them (and this happens a lot - the uninstall and reinstall - I do it to, due to storage space problems).

So anyone reading this - you might want to check your stats to see how many Android 4.2 users you still have before updating.

By the way - all my games have several Android 10 users - so not targeting Android 10 didn't stop anyone from playing them on Android 10.

This is the latest from google and I can't get my MMF2.5dev edition to even show Android 11.

Meet Google Play's target API level requirement

When you upload an APK, it needs to meet Google Play’s target API level requirements. New apps and app updates must target Android 10 (API level 29) or higher; except for Wear OS apps, which must target API level 28 or higher.
Starting in August 2021, new apps will need to:

Starting in November 2021, app updates will be required to target API level 30 or above and adjust for behavioral changes in Android 11. Existing apps that are not receiving updates are unaffected and can continue to be downloaded from the Play Store. Wear OS apps must continue to target API level 28 or higher.
The switch to Android App Bundle delivery will also impact instant experiences using the legacy Instant app ZIP format. From August 2021, new instant experiences and updates to existing instant experiences will be required to publish instant-enabled app bundles.

I have my API set to 31 but the highest Target level MMF2.5 DEV shows is 10. Which when I upload the .aab to Google. They say this...
Your app currently targets API level 29 and must target at least API level 30 to ensure it is built on the latest APIs optimized for security and performance. Change your app's target API level to at least 30.

The latest beta allows you to target Android 11 + API 30.

    https://community.clickteam.com/threads/84521-Download-links

But my post you quoted is exactly 1 year old. Right now the question would be - Anybody using Android 12 - and no, you can't select Android 12 in the latest beta either... (But I no longer publish the majority of my games at Google Play...)

Well, that didn't work at all. Now I can't compile an .aab.

But my post you quoted is exactly 1 year old. Right now the question would be - Anybody using Android 12 - and no, you can't select Android 12 in the latest beta either... (But I no longer publish the majority of my games at Google Play...)
Thank you for the link, but the beta version would not create the .aab. So, I switched back to 293.1. Only because that can build a .aab. Just the wrong Android Target version of it. Ugh...
Considering this post is a year old. I wonder why Clickteam has yet to fix this problem. I mean, we all know Google will never leave well enough alone.

Thankfully, Amazon still accepts APK files. However, sales at Amazon are horrible versus Google.
