    Build 292.27 - Release version

    Hello,

    The build 292.27 is available in the Product Owners Lounge or in the Community Passport if you own the stand-alone version, and automatically on Steam.

    Sorry for the delay for this update, we had to make sensible changes to the loading/saving routines to support MFA and EXE files larger than 2 GB (up to 4 GB). Note: this doesn't change the format of MFA or EXE files. Due to the nature of the changes we recommend that you make backup copies of your MFA files before loading them with this version.

    Some changes have been also made in all the EXE, DLL and MFX files of the product to suppress the recent false positive issues in a few anti-virus programs. This issue should be fixed.

    In case of problem you can reinstall any other version (no need to uninstall first, just reinstall the patch of the build you want to reinstall).

    PS: the CF 2.5 patch updates all the installed exporters, as well as the 2.5+ DLC, you do not need to reinstall them.

    Yeah, some obscure anti-virus programs still incorrectly report false positives, this has been always the case and usually those companies don't answer when you submit them false positives, this has been always the case for many years and I've stopped writing them. If you use this anti-virus program yourself please send them this file so that they remove it from their virus definition files (all anti-virus programs usually have an option to send files for analysis in their interface). Thanks!

    WOW that's very important change! Would you like expand allowed size of RAM limit too? (When the memory usage exceeds 2GB, some objects will not be displayed.)

    Hmm, in theory the RAM limit has been extended to 4 GB (actually about 3.5 GB) in the build 292 of Fusion. If you can reproduce a 2GB RAM usage problem, please send me the MFA, thanks!

    This happens when a file is still in use.

    I was checking with a tester who is still on Windows 7 and there was no way Active DirectShow object could play a .wmv or mp4 from inside Fusion, even though they could play from Windows Player. I sent build with and without "use media foundation" option. Is there any technical reason why Active DirectShow object could not access .wmv codec in Windows 7? I suppose a mp4 extension would be a solve once and for all any video playing related issue.
