    Checking for image properties

Is there a way to check for certain properties of imported image files? For example, I'd like to let players use the "load frame" action with active objects but first check for the height, width and file type of the image before loading it to avoid huge or miniature images to be loaded.

I don't know the answer to your actual question (though I suspect the answer is yes, once you find the right extension), but you could perhaps first load the image into a different (invisible) active, and then easily test its dimensions with OHeight("active") and OWidth("active"). And if it's an acceptable size, then you load it into your 'real' active

Yes, that's what I came up with after trying different things out. I know there are a lot of extensions that handle files, but perhaps not in this way.
