    How to keep tiles glued together using the bouncing ball movement in a game?

    Hi friends.

    I have prepared this tutorial to create games of the Le Mans genre. The simplest method of road scrolling is the bouncing ball movement. However, at a certain speed, the road tiles no longer respect the counter value and come off causing some slitches.
    How can i keep the tiles (or blocks) glued?

    Here the example.

    Controls:

    Arrow keys=left and right
    ctrl=accelerate
    shift=break

    Bonjour; salut. Merci pour l'attention. Vous n'avez peut-être pas essayé longtemps car j'ai également inclus des collisions de sprites dans les événements. Si vous désactivez le groupe d'événements, j'ai nommé "PENALITY!" vous ne heurtez pas les sprites et vous pouvez tester plus longtemps, et le problème devrait également survenir lors de l'exécution du jeu sur votre PC.
    D'accord. Je vais essayer de prendre un instantané ou une vidéo.

    Voici la vidéo (le programme l'a produite accrocheuse) et vous remarquez que les tuiles se détachent!

    Hi daryuss. On the video link you shared it states that it is private, so no one will be able to look at it.

    If you overlap the road tiles, then it will take away the green horizontal stripes where the tiles meet, but it creates a second problem that the pattern on the side of the road is not always right. If you changed the pattern to vertical stripes or a solid color, then that would solve that problem too.
    Another option would be to abandon the bouncing ball movement, and manually move it, something like - always set road.y equal to road.y plus the roadspeed.

    ...
    (Edit: There's a bug in the forums - it keeps changing what I'm typing.)

    Hi Nivram and Janette5 I'm glad you answered me. I made the video public now. I made it private because I was thinking of simply turning off comments on youtbe. It should now display.

    Well turning Vsync on as fredetmumu said, will help a lot.

    Changing the display away from Windows Standard to Direct X9, will also help.

    But the green lines appearing between the tiles - I don't have any better advice than what I typed before - maybe someone else does, but all the other problems the video shows were solved by Vsync and Direct X9.

    Ok. re-shared with DX9 and VSYNC., the link is the same.
    Note: where I wrote earlier I only wanted to disable comments I meant on "youtube", not on you!

    I'm not seeing on my PC what you're seeing on that video. I have a 4 gig graphics card and maybe that makes a difference.

    I changed your .mfa, just to get rid of the cross green patches in the road, and this runs smoothly on my pc. I can see at some points the pathways are not all at the same speed because the white or red gaps change on the side of the road, but that's the only issue on my pc.
