    Physics object and collision problems (Bounce effect)

    Hello,

    the non-physical movements make it very easy to have objects bounce off physical boundaries, but I have trouble replicating the same with the physics engine.
    Right now I'm applying an impulse (force 5) at -180 ░ of the player's current angle, but it doesn't look or feel right:

    Somehow the character gets set back almost immediately and sometimes runs over the designated obstacle.
    (I've also tried "Apply force", but that has the problem that the force seems to applied for way longer than desired.)

    I assume the problem lies somewhere in the object properties, density is 30, friction is 100, and elasticity 0, yeah, the default values.

    Also, the top speed of the char is pretty high, 150. Any ideas on how to create a reliable bounce effect? Help much appreciated!
