Need help with placing string inside the file path

I can't figure this out, it's so simple and here I am, sitting all day long on this... :/

What I am trying to do is to place string inside the file path and change the string so I can access different files with just one line of code.
    example: "C:\Folder name\" + my string here +".rtf"

I know how to do "C:\Folder name\" +Str$(value( "Counter 1" ))+".rtf" but I don't understand how to do this with the string.

Thanks to your attached example I just solved the problem! What I was doing wrong was using Str$( "String" ) instead of String$( "String" ) Now everything is working as it should. Thanks for your help fredetmumu!
