AppPath was working in mfa and suddenly it no longer works, returns blank
Its bit of a critical bug, I cant save/load if AppPath cant be set.
Create new blank mfa and AppPath works fine
Its a bit frustrating to stop working on a project and be spending so much time trying to get AppPath$ to work
All suggestions/ideas welcome.
Its a big project I cant just abandon weeks of work
Update. Thankfully it is working now. I redownloaded the patch, reboot pc, reset app build destination to windows and rebuilt app. it is working now
I spoke too soon. it is just weirding me out a bunch of weird behaviour

Events set to run at start of frame no longer run.
Lines that have debug test sent to a text boxare not run
Debug text from previous event lines (events that dont exist any more) are sending debug text. Loops are gone from the editor (cant find them) but they still run
It seems to be misbehaving
try on an other computer or post it here if it is possible for you
When you created a new MFA to test AppPath$, was that inside the same directory as your MFA that stopped working? Or was it just something like C: or the Desktop?
What kind of events is not running at Start of Frame?
Are the loops perhaps in behaviors/global event editor instead of the event sheet? Probably the easiest way is to right-click and open all groups, then sort by the Special object to narrow down events using it, including loop events.
0. I ran overnight full virus scan and pc cleanup and rebooted
1. try on another pc is a good idea, will try to install cf elsewhere when i get the time
2. I created the test mfa and saved it to another (different) directory. Im aware sometimes apppath wont work if the mfa isnt saved
3. no behaviors, im still to learn when is best to use behaviors. any opinion is appreciated. the order of events can have impact, is debugging with behaviours might get tricky?
only 4 events are in global events. most events are in main playing frame
4. I right clicked and 'open all groups' Then column highlight special conditions.

I think that you cant send debug text on start of frame, maybe the ui isnt loaded yet?

I'd be curious to know if you're testing AppPath$ in a directory that may be protected, and what permissions your app has.
Do you mean debug text to like an alterable/global string in the Fusion debugger? Or do you have strings loading debug text?
