    New Video, with a Daytime / Night Time Cycle. The Speed of the day is sped up so that the video is not hours long. Time is adjustable to your needs.

    Never knew there was a fine detection box.

    That would have made things a bit easier.

    I really want to thank you for sharing this method, VBEinc. I've implemented it in my game, and I'm really pleased with the result. I already had some nice background lighting effects happening, but this sunglare really completes it. The way I've done it is more or less like you did, though I have two larger sunglare layers that rotate independently, and one of them uses the add shader. I also get the collision detector to check multiple layers, so that the sunglare can be blocked by both background elements and foreground platforms. Again, thanks so much for sharing this very good effect It's a bit grainy because of the GIF, but you get the idea:

    Any chance you could make an .mfa that shows how to do the collision detector? I assume a qualifier by some sort. I have not messed with the Background objects much, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
