Character keeps acting strange on moving platform

Hi I am unsure how to explain this problem but in this platformer I'm trying to make their are moving platforms which work fine when your on them until you collide with an obstacle at the same time, then you start to slide off mid air, it's really weird I have attached what it looks like

I have tried a few things and just wrecked it more so I was wondering if you might be able to help?

it's because the platform bring the character IN the background, then "platfom movement" always do like this, it makes the character going up since it will be outside the background. you must use a detector to stop follow the platform when the character touch the background

Hi fredetmumu that's fantastic thank you so much!!!
I was trying to copy your process for the vertical moving platforms, but the new line I made (Player Base 3) does not position itself when I jump on the vertical platform.
what do you think I'm doing wrong?

I've included the file the same with my updates, I didn't add to many events because I didn't want to make it worse.

it' because your platform movement are not all straight then the direction in not exactly right or left or up or down , you must select several direction like in the mfa
