    Question I can't finish the first tutorial.

    When I reach the point in the first Chocobreak tutorial where I've finished assigning the behavior to the golden ball to make it bounce off the edges of the stage, I attempt to run the game but it automatically closes and I'm given a window telling me that I've reached the limits of the free version of Clickteam Fusion. Is this supposed to be happening? I feel like I should at least be able to finish the first tutorial. What exactly are the limits of Fusion's free version?

    Hi there. These are the limits:

    Fusion 2.5 Free Limitations
    
    - you cannot load more than 1 application in the editor
    - each application cannot contain more than 3 frames
    - each frame cannot contain more than 100 backdrop objects and 30 other objects
    - each frame cannot contain more than 150 events
    - global events are disabled, as well as object behaviors
    - the number of object types in this version is very limited
    - you cannot install other type of objects with the extension manager
    - you cannot export images with the picture editor
    - you cannot export or replace sound samples or music files with the Data Element editor
    I suspect what you've done is either too many frames in your game, or, clone the bricks, rather than duplicate. A duplicate is a non-unique copy of the object which will retain the properties of the original object at edit time (for example if you added a new coloured animation to it, all of the duplicates would also have this new animation). An object can have as many duplicate copies as you wish (up to 30,000).

    A clone is a new copy of the object, which can be edited separately from the original. If you had cloned your bricks, each brick would count as a new object and this could easily hit your limit.

    Cant believe chcobreak is still the tutorial I did that one back in 2013 ish, I want to use this instead of game maker but there does not seem to be as much support with fusion. gml has a horrid language but that's where it's at. Come on clickteam we need to do some serious advertising.

    Fusion has tremendous support - we have these forums and a thriving Discord community, with direct access to staff including myself. Chocobreak has been remastered, it you look... but just because it's an old tutorial, it doesn't mean it's not effective.

    I don't believe that I've reached any of those limits, besides maybe something involving global events and object behaviors. I haven't placed any bricks and so I don't believe it's the object limit. This is the current state of my game:
