Android Game Controller Object Not Recognizing Controllers

    Hi there,

I am able to use the Android object to successfully read gamepad input but cannot do the same with the Android Game Controller object. So if I have multiple gamepads (which is supposed to be supported by the Android Game Controller object), I cannot read their KeyCodes/button presses independently.

There doesn't appear to be any way to test for the device ID in the Android object, and I think the Android Game Controller objects expect specific controllers since it is not reading any input whatsoever from my gamepads.

Is it possible to get the game controller device ID with the standard Android Objects? Or to have the Android Game Controller extension support more controllers? Appreciate any help.

    Hi Fernando,

They're 4 generic USB arcade sticks connected together on a control deck. They report themselves as "TE GamePad Player 1" through "TE GamePad Player 4". They work fine in other Android apps and even in my Clickteam games I can read the key events/key codes like KEYCODE_DPAD_UP or KEYCODE_BUTTON_A etc. but the problem is that I'm using multiple controllers and I cannot tell which one is sending the key codes with the Android object's events (it can read button presses but cannot discern which device ID is sending those button presses).

Here's an example from another Android app that shows the same keypress but with a unique device ID:

If I was able to read the device ID in my events I would be able to tell which controller the button press was coming from, but this doesn't appear to be possible with the default Android object or the Android Game Controller extension.
