    INI++ Refuses to load ingame

    I need some help again!

    The game perfectly loads the value, but if I erase it, it will keep the same value, but also this happens to other slots. The value sets to zero for some reason if I close the app. Any solutions?

    I've tried to google some INI++ Examples but instead they direct me to the regular ini extension.

    I'm guessing that the values are loaded to memory on start and running of your app. When you delete a value ... (changes memory value to zero) ... only the "memory value" is changed but not the value in the file ... so if you reload the value again from the file it is still the original value. When you close the app the memory values are written to the file to update the file. Just a guess.

    If the app tried to update the file information each time it would really slow a game down ... this would be because hard drive access is much slower than memory access. So while the the app runs you load the data info memory and work from memory while the game is running. When the player exits the game you then update the hard drive file. Again just a guess.

    Welcome to programming. Perhaps someone else has a better solution that does not require an extension ???
