Creating files for Google Play when game is huge EDITED

    --- Edited below ---

It's about games bigger than 100Mb and how to create the accepted files for Google.
I remember reading some instructions some time ago but can't for my life find it again. It mentioned about creating a smaller version and a full version or something similar.

Any suggestions, links or ideas much appreciated.

Another thing: do we still use the OBB-tool or is it outdated?
    ----------------------

    1. The OBB is outdated and not used for google play unless your app is already there.

    2. Google now has the "Play Asset Delivery" which, if I understand it correctly, is part of the MMF builds: Android bundle (aab) and Android bundle with expansion. Correct me if I'm wrong. And we really need one (1) place for all this information.

Sad part is I have spent several days googling and trying to find proper info and was about to abandon Fusion due to the lack of info. Help files are dated and does not help much.

The search function here in the forum is not good or I would have found info quicker.

Sorry for the angry tone but I am disappointed at the moment. I've used Fusion for many years, have quite a successfull little app made with Fusion on Google Play and also would like to finish this big game using Fusion. But guys & gals where is "the spirit" from old days when we shared, helped and pushed each other to do great games?

Look for "Android app bundle with expansion". It's made for that if i correctly remember. I've never tried it though.

Hi. OBB are outdated - but we havent had a way to use OBB for awhile so thank goodness! Second, the aab file type is the only file type accepted for new apps. Google should auto manage the app download and additional files to get the larger games out. There is a max limit of like 2-4gb... its on the google site for aab. I was able to find some of this when I tried uploading too large files and it gave me a link on the Google app page or a search suggestion.

Yes, build as usual using this mode and your aab will content all code/resources/sounds/others to allow users when updating or installing from first time to download your entire game (max 1GB)

    more info here https://developer.android.com/guide/...asset-delivery

and the mode used is install-time
