cut extension of an image and save

I would like to load an image on the screen and cut it into tiles of 16*16 or 32*32 automatically and save the different images in a directory. I pretty much know how to do it but I can't find the object that allows you to clip the area of ​​the image and save it. I tried the surface object but I can define the clipping area but I can't save its content. I tried take screenshot but again I can't define the zone. what extension do you recommend to do this?
