    Creating a network game

    Hi guys

I would like to create a network game over a LAN but I dont know where to start.

I have looked briefly at the MOO objects but they dont mean much to me.

Does anybody have a step by step tutorial for creating a basic network game?

There is a Network object in MMF 2 standard and Dev, but I'm not sure how good it is.

If you want to developp an online application or a game, use MooClick extension. It's a powerful online extension. Don't use Moo, Moo2 or MooGame extensions becauses they are buggy and unstable.

    Re: Creating a network game

You can use the Network Object to make an LAN game as the messages are not routable everyone must by on the same side of a switch or router. Think of the network packets as a DHCP call.

MooClick however is routable and as such you can create a game not only for a LAN or WEB.
