Well, I came up with another example using the curly tentacle. In this one, the end of the tentacle will bend and rotate to set itself at the mouse cursor.
In many ways, this one is a lot more complex than the last one, so be sure to look through that one first if you're trying to figure out how it works. I have to admit that parts of this example are a lot less "solid" than the first one, and use up more processing power. If I could just come up with a good mathematical formula to describe it, it would probably be a lot more efficient and tight. Until then, just adjust the "moveend" loop if you need more processing power or want the tentacle to be more responsive.
