Just guessing but would that be because of the PC in question? Eg, differnt PC's would get different FPS

Tiger, is your PC using 100% of it's cpu usage when you tried that?

I tried the same thing as Tiger, with 100 events adding 1 to a counter. The FPS was capped at about 350. I then increased the number of events per loop to about 1000. Still 350-400. My CPU usage was at 20 %.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean... With just the events to display FPS, i get about 1000FPS (most of the time it's rather 990). It's on a 1,6GHz Centrino...

EDIT: Ooops, i forgot that i did this test with Machine independant speed, whithout it, i get 500FPS

The speed difference is also noticable when you use the "Is Object Overlapping another X" command, that would completely stop an object from going through an obstacle in 1.5 if you made it bounce.

    Not in 2.0 unfortunately, maybe it's just a bug though...I don't know.
