Re: Status of my physics extention

Keep in mind, the expensive version is for commercial games, and the money you use to produce the game will probably be far less than your income for one game will be. I've just sold my first commercial game and earned 4 times as much as I've spent on all my Clickteam products in total. So I wouldn't mind spending additional 50-60$ on a game that could bring me 500$ to 1000$ or maybe more money...

On the other hand, if you are short on money, I wouldn't recommend buying an expensive extension unless you have done some commercial games before and know more or less the value of the tools you're using compared to what you can do with them.

in fact it depends on what can do the standard version beside the full one...
if the difference between them is like the difference between mmf2 standard and developer, i'd not mind buying the standard version of this extension cause i'm not realy intrested in selling my games yet, I hope the standard version is good enough beside the full one...

vortex2 have you got an idea of when it will be finished?

Um, maybe the extension should be *finished* before people start deciding what it should cost and which they'll buy?

It sounds like a great extension, but until the final (or near final) version is released it's kind'a pointless to discuss specific costs.

Personally I'd just like to see this finished regardless of how the pricing works.

Re: Status of my physics extention

The payment is relative to the amount of work that has been required, not to previous extensions. I just got done writting the code base that I am going to be using in the extension, and that alone took a few weeks to create. Using ODE for 2d was an area that had very little information and even less code.

Payment will be done via PayPal. The only reason I am even talking about my pricing structure is becuase people were getting all huffy about the fact that I might be selling it.

I am hoping to be able to show some good progress soon <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />.

I dont mind the price for the pro version, as long as it includes a good support and bug fixing updates.
Most free extension are released with sometimes anoying bugs, and rarely get any update. Now if I'm paying for an extension, I expect the developer to be more active with the needs of his licensees.
