    Re: Exporting to Flash

Realistically, I think that a perfect Flash importer is out of the realms of possibility - Flash and MMF are better at two different things.

If the Vitalize plugin could be made more popular, then I think this would be the better option - the trouble is that it would really need support for formats other than Windows if it is to gain huge popularity.

    []Oh no, no more toolbars <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I don't like those
IE7 seems to get positive feedback even though most people I've talked to didn't like it much. Microsoft will not really succeed with it unless they add better extension support which I don't think they will.
But yes, IE is getting much less popular. Only 52.47% visitors on my website used IE while Firefox had 38.87% of the users.

Actually I think a flash exporter would be a good thing. Not that it would need to be that advanced it would just be a little tool that shouldnt be used much time on. [/]

And just remember, the IE visitors may not actually be IE because Opera masquerades as IE by default, and Firefox can be changed to tell a server it's IE. So IE's numbers are already artificially inflated.

    Re: Exporting to Flash

    joewski, I like your ideas.

While I doubt that Firefox has even 10% market penetration, it is the number 2 browser, the Mozilla code is open source, and programmers can freely produce extensions and themes.

A Vitalize! toolbar, or even a Vitalize! extension would be cool.

I think that the path to success lies not in making a “Flash” export for MMF, but in making Vitalize! so popular that Adobe has to make a Vitalize! export from Flash.

The first step may be for Clickteam to take an active interest in the “Mozilla Project”.

If you haven’t guessed already, I’m a big Mozilla fan and longtime Firefox user.

I used to think too that Firefox had only a small percentage , but I not sure anymore, the sites with open statistics are showing percentage with mozilla of around 38 to 42 percent on average. I think only those sites that are activeX are showing higher percentages. But even that may be false, because if there like me they may be using the IE rendering engine.

    Re: Exporting to Flash

    Yea?

What sites are you looking at?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Mozzilla fan, but the internet has become “mass market” and most users don’t even have a clue that they can use a browser other than IE. They don’t even know that they exist.

I mean, how many lame brain, mass market sites even have open stats, or users who would know how to use and interpret them if they did?

What I am asking, is if it would be feasible for Clickteam to start to contribute to the “Mozzilla Project” with the long term goal of making Vitalize! a presence on the web?
