[]Sounds to me like you don't trust Clickteam, but thats just me. No offense, Clickteam is a small company, there is nothing not to trust about it though. ;-)

Very few programs are actually certified by Microsoft as far as I know. It's no different in my eyes, then a game that says "nVidia Recommended" or "Pentium 4 Recommended" just as a way to earn cash adverstising in a unique way. [/]

I don't think he doesn't trust Clickteam. I'm sure most if not all of us in this community have a great deal of trust and respect for the company. But that is us. Other people who don't know who is Clickteam may not trust them like us, so the certification would be more of a guarantee to clients than anything else. But in my opinion as well, it isn't a big deal.

Thankyou for you more helpfull comments, and for the record I've been clicking since TGF days. I bought MMF and went pro when it went pro. I've made money from my software and it's helped in my career as well as for general knowledge. Unfortunately some companies demand the Microsoft stamp so my question is a perfectly good one. They are not the sort of companies you can just 'blag' your way in to. Standards are needed and you can't garuntee them unless you have a MS label on your software.

I guess that's the price of testing.

MMF could never be certified in a way that would help you, as it always has the potential to create bad apps. Your software itself would have to be certified, so you'd need to send your source code and the MMF runtime source code. Since I doubt that clickteam will be releasing their runtime as open source, it doesn't look likley that you'll be able to certify your software at all.
