Standard Mode / DirectX Mode display differences

I like how MMF switches to the next available graphic mode when I enter something like 240x208 as the game's resolution.

In standard mode, MMF switches to 320x240 and centers the game screen, but in DirectX mode (same window settings), the game screen has a weird offset. Disabling centering puts it in the left/top corner. Leaving it on even cuts off some of the game screen like this.

Is this bug already known and possibly already getting fixed or will one not be able to use DirectX mode properly with the settings described in my last post? I'd really like to know so I can adjust my projects to that. Thanks in advance.
