My impression is that the vast majority of MMF users don't know many other programming languages. I think that many people are excited about the SDK's release because it means that those of us who do know C++ will start making cool extensions. Of course, I'm excited because I see it as a ways of not only making cool extensions, but also improving my C++ programming skills <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Many people have gone from "clicker" only to C++ programmer because of the SDK.
So don't be scared if your interested anyone can learn enough C++ to make a simple extension -- Then slowly work up to some complex extensions.
