[]The MMF2AO site could indeed just open up a buy page on the author's site, but at the moment it is not really set up to be a site which lists all extensions[/]
I can't speak for Code6, but I'm certainly prepared to develop MMF2AOHQ to cater for more than just MMF2AO-format extensions, etc. Either that, or the CT Extension List could evolve and have MMF2AO files as a sub-feature.

Note: MMF2AO already has an interface where you can install extensions from the programme (like the Extension Finder).

Since MMF2AO didn't take off like I thought it would -- I am sure a webpage like the old extension list will be created sometime before the end of the year.

Just when is the problem -- As you might know all of my time is spent trying to sell TGF2/MMF2 to schools to keep the company growing and the lights on.

Perhaps if I get a second I will check with Chris who created the extension list and ask if he minds me looking around and trying to use it for MMF2.
I am sure he won't but finding the time is the problem.

The MMF2AO is really userfriendly and quick. I can't see why some people find it irritating. It good for those who doesn't really know how to install extensions (before that was a problem for some people). You get rid of the installers that added shortcuts and various mess to the computer. And it goes much faster to install the extensions.

I agree with Blueberry. There's really no reason why people shouldn't use the MMF2AO. It's really great.

Re: Extensionarama! Can we have some order?

Yes, I am planning to list all MMF2 extensions using the MMF2 Add-On Obtainer program and website.
I've been a bit busy lately with college starting again and such, so I really appreciate the help of people like Joshtek.

The most important thing to get your extensions listed, is to make sure I know about them. Just like the little bubble in the top-right on http://puchisoft.com/mmf2aohq/addons_all.html says, if you see something that's missing, e-mail me.
I don't have support for non-mmf2ao packages just yet. But even if you won't be offering your extension in that format, you can start letting me know about your extension (and download website) now, so your extension can be one of the first 3rd-party-download-site ones to be listed when I do add this support.

Right now I know of Matt's extensions, which fall into that category, but that's it. So if you know of any extension that's not listed on my website, e-mail me:

Why don't you make it if you find a new extension on a users directory it send a message to your server alterning you to the fact an new extension is present. The user would have the option to add a name for the extension, web page, and if it is private. That way you could have a hash and version number of each extension. This would also prevent namespace clashes with extensions that are private.

Eeeek ! That would be a reason for me to uninstall Addon Obtainer very quickly. What extensions i have installed or what version i use is my personal information and doesn't have to interest anybody else <img src="/center/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Personally i still dislike the fact that Addon Obtainer is not under control of Clickteam. I could bet then the hassle wouldn`t be this big as it is now.

I think a message saying "You have an extension that Addon Obtainer doesn't recognise, do you want to send the details about it to the Addon Obtainer server? No personal information will be sent. [Yes] [No] [Help]" would be a VERY good way to do this. Probably with a "Never do this" checkbox for the privacy conscious, and with the help button explaining EXACTLY what is sent. It's easy enough to read the name, website, and copyright etc. info from an extension (at least in c++, and I could help with the code or write a dll/extension to add the ability to the it), so you could send the extension ID, file name, extension name, author's name, copyright and website address (assuming the author put this all in correctly).
