    Expression evaluator bug

    Hi,

In my current project I recently wrote this expression:

    ValueAtXY( "Array", (X( "Group.Neutral" )+Alterable Value G( "Group.Neutral" ))/(640.0/Wave subdivisions), 1)-(Alterable Value B( "Group.Neutral" )*Alterable Value S( "Group.Neutral" )*10 pow 3)-0.3*(Alterable Value A( "Group.Neutral" )*Alterable Value S( "Group.Neutral" )*10 pow 3)

The exp eval indicated that this was a valid expression at the time that I first entered it in. Now I can open the exp eval just fine, but if i click Ok or check the expression it says syntax error.

I whittled down the expression and it appears that this expression on its own is the so called "syntax error":

    X( "Group.Neutral" )

It therefore seems likely that this is a bug with MMF qualifiers.

I have tried re-entering the expression from scratch and it does the same.

Make sure you don't have a Global Value called "X". Might also want to check alterable values, but I don't know how those work with qualifiers in MMF2.

Like Matt said, make sure you don't have a Global Value named "X". I had this problem when I had a one named "Dir" and I was trying to get the direction from a qualifier.

Yes you must be careful with global value and string names.
They can not be the same names as an item or keyword in MMF.
