Re: MMF2 Build #242 - BETA

[]The collision mask also wants more work[/]

That reminds me, perhapse it would be possible to add a "no effect on collision mask" option for backdrops? Hopefully something else that can be slipped in quickly

I've just tried a few of my games+apps in the new version and haven't seen any new problems.

Edit:

Possible new bug: I didn't notice this in the last build, but maybe I never looked - create a blank app. In the first frame add: always: jump to frame 1. When run, the app will flicker like mad and is really hard to close (I had to use taskmanager to close it)

Also, half the frame previews look pale cyan now (not a serious bug, but I don't think it was there before)

btw, I still can't reproduce the jump to frame bug (tried several methods of app creation, frame creation, events, etc).

[]Just tried it and I still have the jump to frame bug.[/]
Hmm... not good... I'm going to redo the whole dialog box with other controls, I'll update the patch later.

Sent.

Maybe important: No crash when you use different action then player: disconnect, just this combination crash but who knows what is this connected with :/

Re: MMF2 Build #242 - BETA

Are you sure it was not crashing in the previous builds? I've fixed the crash, but it was in Moo, not in the MMF2 runtime. It was due to the fact that MooClick's general handling routine was accessing the player after it gets disconnected (and deleted). If it was not crashing in previous version, then that was just by chance.

Re: MMF2 Build #242 - BETA

Ive had that sort of problem a lot with Moo for a long time. Nice that it is finally fixed (Could you do a quick check through the moo code in case it happens anywhere else?)

I think a large number of issues with Moo arsie because it tries to access information after it becomes invalid. You often get problems too when the program is closed so maybe the destructor or whatever it uses has similar issues.

Yeah, I remember one problem that SmileyHouse had was that it tried to send text to a channel before it had fully signed on to it, causing the client to be isolated from the server.
