    Edutainment .cca file examples wanted!

While MMF2 has nice but limited example media files on CD2 of the MMF2 disks, I would like to see more examples other than gaming .cca files and more edutainment types, like, "First Step Mars", "Explorers of the New World" or "Poetry in Motion". These are titles from the mid to late 1990s. I am planning several titles in this area and have searched the forum archive files for more download examples, but have not found these types. Does anyone have anything out there?

Can you explain in more detail what you want - those titles are unfamiliar.

These were titles like "Return to the Moon", "Journey to the Planets", "Reptiles", "Better Gardening" "Dinosaurs" and "Ancient Empires"- titles that were entertainment and education as well. They had common things like video movies with clips, screens with scrolling texts, quiz section, slideshow section, a game section, searchable glossary and database and features like scientists on video talking about select subjects, credits, intro and so on. The Voyager Company, Multicom, Softkey and Expert were majors who did many of these. Compared to gaming .cca examples I have seen these edutainment titles would be easier to make. But not many complex examples.

Video movies with clips - on the CD somewhere - look under examples of different object types as well.

Screens with scrolling texts - I've found you a really nice example here:

Quiz section - look at the Question and Answer object - it could really do with an update, but it's OK for simple stuff.

Slideshow section - again, on the CD somewhere. The Listbox is handy for this - you can load up all the .jpg file names from a directory in it, and then work through the list one at a time. I'm sure there's an example in the archives somewhere - just haven't found it yet <img src="/center/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Game section - no shortage of examples

Searchable glossary - hmmm, can't remember seeing anything on this. More detail please.

Database - yeurch - not easy. ODBC object, XML object - but you're in advanced territory whichever method you use.

Credits, intro - look at the games examples.

Many thanks, Sarah! The searchable glossary and database I thought was the same, like a help file in a program that allows you to type a word and it pulls up files with the keyword. That is advanced-I think Ill pass on the idea so the product is not too complex. Too advanced. When I begin flowcharting the first product I will be dropping lines to the forum for support. Many thanks!
