    Subgroups of mmf2 problem

    Okay, I bought MMF2, I liked the option of making "subgroups", because it will help me organize my programming. I loaded my program from MMF1.5 into MMF2, and made some root-groups and moved some of the existing groups into the root-groups (thus making them sub-groups). After I was done, I closed the subgroups, closed the root groups, and saved. I even reopenned the root groups to see that the subgroups really are compressed, then closed it, and saved again. At this point, I close the event editor.

    Now, every time I reload the event editor (Even right after saving, WITHOUT exiting MMF2, all I do is close the event editor) and open a root-group, all the subgroups automatically pop open and expand! But I saved it when they were closed! Why does it do this?? Instead of making my project much more cleaner and effective it ruines the whole point.

    Re: Subgroups of mmf2 problem

    I believe its a known problem and hopefully will be corrected in a future update.

    Edit -- I only have the demo version on this computer at the current time and the groups and sub groups are operating correctly.

    Have you updated MMF to the latest build?
    And can someone test the MMF2 and MMF2 Dev for the problem?

    I will do this later today when I get to the office if no one else has.

    Re: Subgroups of mmf2 problem

    I have seen this in my current project - using MMF2 Standard Build 242. I couldn't make just that happen right now, but I got this:
    Having closed all groups and their sub-groups, I jump to another frame. I jump back and they are still closed, but if I open one of them all its sub-groups are expanded as well. This can be annoying as you may have to scroll a whole lot to get where you want to, or close a good number of sub-groups.

    Yeah, it's bad. I've had a whole lot of trouble with this too. I even wrote a similar post about exactly the same thing previously.

    Okay, so is this going to be fixed in the next build, or am I going to have to cope with it? ^^;;

    Re: Subgroups of mmf2 problem

    It also happens with MMF Dev 243. Fortunately I noticed it before moving 60 groups with level-scripts into one group. While I'd really like to clean up my main loop, this would have been a bit too much scrolling when having to do some changes on a script
