Newbie Questions

I just ordered TGF2 and just realized MMF2 is an upgrade. I looked at the comparison chart, but I don't the options to know if the difference is worth the $$$. In laymens (newbie) terms, what is the diff between these two programs.

Also, I downloaded and did the Choco-Breakout Game demo. What program is used to create the animated objects that are pasted in the frame workarea from the (demo) library. In other words, how can I create my own animated sprites for my games?

The way I see it, MMF2 is better for more in-depth games and applications. TGF2 is good for beginners, to create platformers and 8-directionals, even though MMF2 can do that also. If you have the money, I would go for MMF2. But, that's my opinion.

you can make the sprites with tgf2/mmf2 by inserting an active object then editing it

I just ordered the software and have yet to receive it, still using demo of TGF2.
