    Light Gun?

Does anyone know if there is a "light gun" extension for any of the products? I need one badly.

Nope, but if the light gun sent proper window control codes then you might be able to access it through the WinMess Pro object. Or you could try finding an Active X Control. I've never even see a light gun for the PC.

    Re: Light Gun?

I have a light gun around here someplace that works in MMF.

I thought it acted like the mouse -- I wonder where I put that.
The company had some demo games in MMF and Jamagic.

I can't remember who made the Jamagic game... It could have been Andrew.

    What's a light gun?

EDIT: Is that one of those 'shoot the screen' things?

Yes, that kind of thing. As far as I know, they work on televisions by detecting where the electron beam is on the screen and working out where they're pointed at relative to that - which would obviously be problematic on an LCD monitor.

    Re: Light Gun?

    No, it works like this...

When you hit the trigger, the screen breifly flashes. Everything turns black, except for the target, which turns white. If the gun sees white, it registers as hit. If there are multiple targets, it will take one frame per target.

I think that method was only used on very old systems like the MSX/NES... but it does avoid the CRT problem.

    Re: Light Gun?

I've made mouse-driven shooters before, but the ability to make a lightgun game would be amazing. I, too, didn't know there were lightguns available for the PC.
