    X-box Runtime?

Hello. I've read on Click Wiki that Xbox Runtime is in the works(?)
    http://www.clickwiki.info/index.php/Runtime
The link is to a thread in the old forums, so I couldn't read more.
    Now, how's about that thing?

I think that is just listing discussions that have been made about other platforms. An XBOX runtime is out of the question becuase of the license cost required to develop for that platform.

Yea definately not. Unless you feel like paying thousands of dollars, then it's not gonna' happen.

    Re: X-box Runtime?

Actually, with the release of XNA, the dev license is 99$ a year.

MMF2 would be a GREAT tool for XBox Live downloads imho.

Yeah it would, except it would require so much work (It is like going from making tshirts to shotguns) that I don't see it as possible in the near future.

Yes that right licencing is an issue. The links in the wiki are designed to give readers such as yourself a quick link to any knowledge about the topic.

Unfortunitly when clickteam changed forums unannounced, they broke many links to articles. We just haven't had the time to fix them. If you search the new forum you will find the article using the key word in the wiki.

It may come as a shock to everyone but making games for the Xbox is free.

The only problem is that you need a modded xbox, which isn't that hard to do.

That happens to be a legal grey area and CT won't do anything that is a legal grey area for fear of being sued.

    Re: X-box Runtime?

I'm failing to see where the grey area is.

It doesn't need a license, it doesn't use any stolen code.

The only thing that even thinks about being a very light shade of grey is that in some countries its illegal to mod a console.
