How do you make layers wrap?

I have a 300*5000 pixel plafield and a 300*300 pixel window. The character moves at 3 pixels per second. The active layer scrolls with him and the backdrop layer scrolls at one half of that speed. The backdrop layer only spans the first 300 pixels (or so I think, this may be the problem). I want the backdrop layer to wrap around the window. How can this be done? Or should I just continue making the backdrop layer for 2500 pixels?

EDIT: I have tryed experimenting and it seems as if it would require "moving" the position of the layer. Is this a feature?

Set the frame height to 300 and the virtual frame height to 5000, and then select the Wrap vertically option in the backdrop layer. Should work.

Or set the virtual frame to -1 to wrap forever?

What's this 'Virtual Frame Height' thing?

Is it new in the beta build 243?

It's been there since the first release - it's under the Layer Properties.
