    Anyone up for a challenge?

Would it be possible for someone to create an extension based on the C++ source code from this SDK?

Wouldn't the developer would need the barcode scanner to test it? Check to see if there is an ActiveX control you can use instead.

That and we'd need to sign up for the site to get the sdk.

If the sdk is simple enough we don't need to be able to test it, we can just hope that the sdk works and let kungsangun test.

Re: Anyone up for a challenge?

    Thanks for the replies!
I already tried to acquire an ActiveX control but it doesn't exist. I thought the SDK was pretty straight forward in the commands that can be sent to/from the scanner and felt once the coding was done in accordance with the SDK that the developer wouldn't actually need the scanner to test.
I don't know how specific the programming for a scanner might be so I didn't investigate other extensions for it. I will now however.
    Thanks again for your help.

I assume this scanner doesn't just plug into the PS2 port on your PC, because I have a symbol LaserTouch here that does that and just sends the numbers followed by return as if it were a keyboard.

Re: Anyone up for a challenge?

Nope, I wish it were that simple...this scanner is either Serial (com port) or USB via an adapter. Is there a way to read the COM ports by chance?...I think there was one for MM1.5
