An easy way to have 'retro' music in your games

    Hi,
This example shows how to make beepy retro music for your games, like on an old computer. It's easy to use with a block like system.
Feel free to use it in your games. No need for credit (Although that would be nice :-p )
    How to use
The counter controls the duration of the notes. It won't work on a non-NT based OS (Win 95, 98), or if you don't have an internal speaker (I think most laptops don't).

    Enjoy [grin]

    Cheers
    James

It needs Gabriel's beep object availiable here.

    Hi,
Whoops! I didn't know there was another example availiable[crazy]
    Anyways, an upgrade!
    2 new things:
1)The bug with the suddenly shorter notes has been fixed
2)The example song is now the first bit of 'ode to joy'.

    Enjoy[grin]

    Cheers,
    James

Re: An easy way to have 'retro' music in your game

I guess for oldschool chiptune music it's easier and better to use trackers: a player is built into MMF, works everywhere and you needn't invent a format and stuff, you can just download a track from somewhere and include it with your game.

Although there might be a use for beeper object in other cases.
