    Multiple resolutions?

All modern games now support multiple resolutions. If you look at the popcap games it doesnt matter what kind of monitor you run the game on, the game is always full screen with no borders. Can this be achieved in mmf2 without creating multiple version of each from for each resolution?

Yes using maximize on bootup, no heading when maximizeed, change resolution mode and no menu or some other combo. All of these should be options under application properties.

    Re: Multiple resolutions?

If you want to submit to portals, try to include both, full screen and window mode. It's pretty standard and, depending on the user's display as well as your games's resolution, full screen can look much worse than window mode. Fortunately, it's easy to switch modes during runtime.

    Re: Multiple resolutions?

In the Event Editor, use the Storyboard Controls (the checkerboard icon). Under "Screen" you find the commands "Full Screen Mode" and "Windowed Mode".

    Re: Multiple resolutions?

My experience is that having, for example a game with 1024 x 768 res. and running it on a wide screen with for example 1440 x 900 res. will stretch the image. There is no way today to solve this without getting a border.

    Re: Multiple resolutions?

Sure, this is not related to MMF, it's a general problem. Therefore, if your game looks too ugly when stretched, you may offer the windowed-option. Sometimes it's better to play in a small window with nice graphics

    Re: Multiple resolutions?

I think he's asking for 1 of two answers.
1- How can you change resolution, but lower resolutions show less of the screen, not stretch it smaller, and vice versa for higher resolutions.
2- Have really high resolution graphics, then have them resized, and re-sampled if the resolution is turned down, so that lower resolutions can play the game and all the objects appear to be the same size, even though technically, they're smaller, and appear slightly more pixelly.
