    MMORPG

I am trying to make a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), like Runescape or World of Warcraft. People keep telling me I should use Mooclick or Moosock. The only problem is... I don't know how. I've looked under the clickiwiki and other places, but I can't find anything. I would really appreciate it if someone could just make me an example. Low graphics, small area, at least 3 players. Just so that I can see what the programming is.

    Thank you.

Also, I forgot to mention that I'm looking for a way to do this on Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer.

I already looked at the video tutorials, but how would you apply this to work for the characters? The chatroom would work for the chat feature in the game, though, so thanks!

    Re: MMORPG

There is a good tutorial on how to use MOOclick in a game in the Daily Click.

It is a 3 part tutorial here are the links:
    Lesson 1: http://www.create-games.com/article.asp?id=1591
    Lesson 2: http://www.create-games.com/article.asp?id=1592
    Lesson 3: http://www.create-games.com/article.asp?id=1609

However MOOclick cannot handle more than 27 users per server (on a public server) so long term you might want to throw in some money for a good server. A good freeware server can be found at Moo Servers. A good server for money can be found on another post in the open topic community forum.

Just a word of advice - MMORPGs are quite complex games. That's not to say that you can't make them in mmf2. If you have experience with online objects then it's not a real problem. However I suggest you try to make a smaller game first. Maybe some sort of online action game with a couple of players before trying to go full scale into such a large project. Good luck

Yeah, I would move slowly with creating online applications. First try creating a Chat Client, then extend it, make it better. Test out MooClick/MooGame's every option. Then try making a simple game just with too players being able to be controlled. If you don't have experience just learn how to use the extension first.

Gerblegod, What do you mean, exactly?

I'm still looking for an example, though... Hope it's not too much trouble...

    Re: MMORPG

I ran a test on my computer. I have a chat client. I ran it repeditively. I use the pop-up message to make it display "Server problems" when an error occurs. I was able to successfully log on 27 users before the server hit maximum and it couldn't log anyone else on. No it doesn't harm the server but it affects the other people using that server. That is why I change which server I use everyday so that it is fair to everyone.
