how to add 2 to an object's direction

How do you add 2 to an object's direction when an event occurs? I need to do this for a "rotating" object that shoots at the player. (I can't use an actual rotation, I have each frame of the object set to a direction. Rotating one image would look bad...)

Use the "set direction" action and press the "use formula" ("1+1") button. Use "retrieve data from object" to get the current animation direction and then just put +2.
